Story of Greatness
I was once told a story of greatness,
how a man overcame mountains of doubt,
tread through valleys of adversity
always believing he would make it out.
The moment, now, was all he had,
never looking back to see what’s been conquered,
understanding he could only be
all that’s been
this awareness made him stronger.
Experiencing compassion, inner peace, and his personal flaws,
he began to see his presence in all that he saw.
A smile was all he needed,
it expressed all the man was feeling,
the trials and adversities reminded the gentleman
he is living.
-This is a poem from my upcoming book of poetry entitled “Book of Essence.”I wanted to keep this post short and simple.
Remember you’re living. Remember Life is all around you.
Remember to Smile.
