MTM002: The Four Things You Must Overcome To Unlock The Greatness That Rests Within You

Achieving greatness is possible for all of us.

I heard a story that said the following:

“In life you will find that there are four things which hold you back from
your greatest potential.
Everything that is holding you back from being the incredible person you are,
is found within these four things.
Whether you realize this or not, every great being you have ever seen has
faced and overcame these things.
These things appear throughout life, with different faces and forms,
but you must only overcome these four.
Any passion, any job, any life worth living, you will be faced with these four things.
Overcome them, because that is all that is holding you back.”

    Hey Jeffon!

I found this podcast to be very helpful and enlightening, thank you!

Your discussion of overcoming fear was excellent and it reminded me of a great book I just read that I think would resonate with you and your readers; it is called “The End of Fear: A Spiritual Path for Realists” by Dr. Richard Schaub. It talks about the source of our fear being the love we have for life.. it deals a lot with the fear of our own impermanence and how that affects our ability to be confident enough each day to pursue our passions and our best life. He talks about getting comfortable enough with the impermanence of everything to have it motivate us into living each day of our finite existence to its fullest, rather than being crippled by it.. sometimes to the extent that we don’t see a point in pursuing our dreams or even in getting out of bed in the morning.

I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone.

    Hey Jonny,

Thank you brother, I greatly appreciate it. I am going to take you up on the book that you recommended and check it out.

One thing that resonated with me in your comment is “getting comfortable enough with the impermanence and have it motivate you into living each day of our finite existence to the fullest.” That is something that I work with everyday.

Thank you for your comments Jonny.

    Peace & Respect Brother,
